COMET CLEANERS
Background
In 1924, Comet Cleaners opened it's first store owned and operated by Jack Godfrey, age 16. Today Comet Cleaners is the largest family owned dry cleaning chain in the USA. They have been a leader in innovation in the industry such as first trying out the Exxon cleaning agent.

Unfortunately, their logo was tired and outdated. With their business predominantly being blue-collar they have the locations and potential to go after luxe dry cleaning and higher-end customers. With that target-market in mind I tried to design a stream-lined logo that would attract higher-end customers.

With this in mind their new logo was designed to be be friendly and welcoming yet professional and multi-use. The bold comet in blue with a bold san-serif gave it the breath of fresh air I needed while still honoring the original feel of the traditional logo.
